3 PaywayWS Features

3.1 Account Updater

Payway’s automatic account updater ensures the data vault contains the most up-to-date card data, including expired cards, closed accounts, and changed account numbers.

Participating card issuers send account information to Visa/Mastercard and Discover.
Payway routinely sends queries for updates from Visa/Mastercard and Discover.
Visa/Mastercard and Discover return updated information.
Account Updater applies new account information to the Payway vault.

Integrators must use account tokens and not raw card data to allow account data to work.

3.3 Automated Level 3 Processing

Level 3 Processing is designed for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) transactions and requires the capture of specific line-item data. That data combines with basic payment data (minimum address data is required) and delivers it electronically to Visa and Mastercard, where it qualifies for lower interchange rates.

At Payway, Level 3 Processing is automated for all clients —right from the start— to reduce as many interchange fees as possible for the duration of our partnership.

3.4 PCI Compliance

To help make your application compliant with credit card security requirements ( Data Security Council PCI requirements ), Payway offers Redirected Transactions for web-based transactions, and point-to-point encryption (P2PE) devices for call center and some retail environments. Redirected transaction processing for web-based payments is described in the getting started section below. P2PE integration is accomplished by a change to your web input forms, PaywayWS does all the data management and decryption.

3.5 Digital Wallets

Digital wallet transactions are implemented with the same steps as redirected transactions with the only difference being we provide you with wallet specific java scripts.

Supported wallets:

  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Amazon Pay ( 9/1/21 )
  • PayPal ( 9/1/21)
