How to keep yourself out of the news with P2PE

Payway Unveils New API, PaywayWS, Built to Simplify Payment Processing and Increase Security

Payway®, an integrated payment processing solution, launched today at {API: World} its new API, Payway®WS. The platform will provide an easy and simple way for programmers to integrate cloud-based, recurring payment functionality into their existing sites and systems.

Those in attendance at {API: World} in San Jose can get a first look at PaywayWS at the Payway Booth (#320).

PaywayWS is an open API that provides developers a simpler way to create extensions and add functionality to new and existing applications. This includes Apple Pay, which makes up 90 percent of all mobile contactless transactions where available. Programmers will have access to Sandbox and Live Configuration, and as PaywayWS is built upon RESTful Service, can support JSON, XML, and HTML-form based payloads. Using the platform, applications for e-commerce, ticketing and web-based subscriptions can be built quickly and easily to support retail, healthcare, media, law, education and non-profit organizations.

“PaywayWS is the next step in our evolution,” stated David Fabrizio, co-founder, Payway. “We’ve always dedicated ourselves to providing the best gateway and merchant services solution to our customers. Now, with PaywayWS, we’ve given developers a means to keep up with the fast-changing payment environment.”

“A barrier to payment application development has always been data formats. With PaywayWS, programmers utilize their existing data formats. Less time in development means faster go-to-market. Companies need every advantage in implementing payment input methods, so they can drive online payments and, at the same time, increase customers satisfaction,” said Dan Nadeau, co-founder, Payway. “They’ll have that with PaywayWS.”

PaywayWS features access to Payway’s Account Updater and Level III Processing capabilities, and the security that comes with certified point-to-point encryption (P2PE) – the standard established by the PCI Security Standards Council. Increased security across their payment systems and solutions allows customers to feel good about transactions that utilize Payway’s combined payment gateway and merchant account solution.

“We’re excited to give customers the opportunity to have a single set of resources for all payment functionality—allowing them to adopt new features that they can create at their own pace,” continued Nadeau. “We offer our clients the ability to use Apple Pay, with more wallet payment options coming soon.”

Those attending {API: World} can stop by the Payway booth (#320) to learn more about PaywayWS. {API:World} is the first large-scale conference and expo with the goal of organizing and addressing the new API Economy. The show was created with the mission to be neutral and facilitate connections, knowledge, trust and business within the developer community of API providers and consumers.

Payway has decades of experience processing digital payments. The company got its start by processing subscription payments for some of the largest newspaper groups in the country. Their 30 years of expertise is the reason so many industries trust them to process subscription payments of all types.
